Warzone 2.0 Voice Chat Not Working Fixes You Can Try

Being able to communicate s important in a game mode like Warzone when playing with friends. Unfortunately, some Warzon 2.0 players are unable to communicate and the in-game chat isn’t working for them. There are multiple reasons why the voice chat isn’t working and the following are the fixes that will help Wzrzone 2.0 players fix it.

Disable Push To Talk

One reason why the voice chat isn’t working on your end is that it is set to “Push To Talk”, which means that players have to press a specific button for the Microphone to enable. Players can fix this by changing push to talk to Open Mic. Click on the gear icon on to top right > select Audio > scroll down to Microphone > select “Open Mic” for Microphone mode and apply changes.

Set Your Default Sound Input Device

One reason why the voice chat isn’t working in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is that the default input device set for the game is not the one you are using. Open sound setting by right-clicking the Sound icon in the taskbar > Sound Settings > scroll down to ‘Input’ > select your microphone device and set it as default.

After that, set your default input device in the game’s audio settings. Click on the gear icon on to top right > select Audio > scroll down to Microphone > Microphone Input Device > select “Default System Device”. Apply the changes and the in-game chat will start working.

Select “Default System Device”.

Allow Access To The Microphone

Another reason why the voice chat isn’t working in Warzone 2 is because your Microphone access is blocked. Ensure that microphone access is enabled, especially for Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0 and the issue will be resolved.

PC

Open Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone > Enable Microphone Access > scroll down and enable “Let desktop Apps access your microphone”. Launch the game and the in-game voice chat is now working.

Open Microphone settings.
Enable highlighted options.

If the Voicie chat still not working in Call Of Duty Warzone 2.0, open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > small window will pop up with your audio devices > go to Recording > right-click click your Microphone > Properties > Advanced > check “Allow apps to take exclusive control of this device” and “Give exclusive mode application priority”. Click OK and the voice chat will start working in Warzone 2.

PlayStation

Run The Game In Clean Boot Mode

A third-party software or tool is probably interfering with the Microphone and isn’t allowing other programs or games to access it. Players can fix the issue by performing a clean boot that disables all third-party software.

Press Windows and R keys simultaneously > type “msconfig” and press Enter > click on Services > check the Hide all Microsoft services option. After that, click on Disable All > go to Startup tab > click on Task Manager > right-click on all programs one by one and disable them. Then head to System Configuration and click on Apply, and then OK. Launch Call Of Duty Warzone 2 and the voice chat is now working.
